1.flip through the pages of a book 快速翻页一本书e.g.

>>> When I was flipping through the pages of the book, I was really in a good mood, cuz it aroused my interest actually. 我在快速翻看这本书的时候，我心情很好，因为它引起了我的兴趣。

2.the story takes place... 故事发生在...e.g.

>>> The novella[nə'velə] portrays[pɔː'treɪ] the growth of a fighter, and the story takes place in a rural area. 这部中篇小说描述了一个战士的成长，而且这个故事发生在乡村地区。

3.twist in the story 故事中的转折e.g.

>>>There is an intriguing twist in the story and it has drawn its materials from real life, thus it really kindles my interest. 这故事中有一个很有趣的转折而且它取材于真实的故事，所以它真的激发了我的兴趣。

4.read extensively 广泛阅读e.g.

>>> I do want to read extensively, from martial arts fictions to detective fictions. 我想广泛阅读，像是武侠小说或者侦探小说。

5.a real delight 一件快事e.g.

>>> Reading a novel is a real delight，and sometimes I can hardly tear myself away from it. 读长篇小说真是件快事， 有时候我简直对它爱不释手。
